Introduction
Speech recognition is
the process of analyzing an acoustic speech signal to identify
the linguistic message that was intended, so that a machine can
correctly respond to spoken commands. For instance, you can give a command and
the computer will do what you want it to do. It is also used in
other devices, such as phones and cars. An example of speech
recognition in phones is that you can set voice tags for some of
your contacts, so that will let you call them by saying their
name. There is different
software that you can buy for speech recognition. Apple
computers and Windows Vista are two items that come with speech
recognition.
