    Faculty Access for the Web Questions

    How to Automatically Calculate 40 % for Each Semester and 20% for Exams

    1. Log into Faculty Access for the Web (FAWEB) on the Keystone web site as normal
    2. Go to the GRADEBOOK tab
    3. Go to the SETUP tab on the class that you want to set up the calculation for.
    4. Go to DEFINE CALCULATION
    5. Click NEW
    6. Type in a name for the semester average calculation (like S1 or S2)
    7. Where it says marking column click NEW. Then select 3rd 9 in the factor column type 40
    8. Click NEW and do the same thing as above except call it 4th 9 (If this was for S1 you would use 1st and 2nd 9)
    9. Click NEW and enter EX2 (or EX1) with a factor of 20
    10. Go to ASSIGN CALCULATIONS
    11. Click NEW and under marking column choose S2 (or S1). For Class choose the current class and for calculation use S2
    12. Return to DEFINE CALCULATIONS
    13. Click NEW
    14. Type in a name like YEAR
    15. Click NEW and enter S1 for marking column with a factor of 50
    16. Click NEW and enter S2 for marking column with a factor of 50
    17. Return to ASSIGN CALCULATIONS
    18. Click NEW and select YR for the marking column with the current class and Calculation Year

    That should now automatically average both your semester and year average once you CLICK SAVE.
