To save time when setting up and maintaining classes using
similar categories and assignments, you can copy categories and assignments.
With Copy Class Setup, you can select specific categories and
assignments to copy, copy from previous academic years, and copy to multiple
marking columns and classes in an academic year. You can copy assignments and
categories separately and use it during initial setup or as new assignments are
added. Duplicate categories and assignments are not copied.
Date fields copy if you copy assignments from and to the
same marking column, even in different academic years. Always review and edit
assignment dates after copying.
- On
the Home page, select the school, academic year, and session containing
the marking columns and classes to which you are copying categories and
assignments.
- On
the navigation bar, click Gradebook. The gradebook opens to the
Grades tab.
- Select
the Setup tab.
- From
the list on the left, select Copy Class Setup.



- In Copy
From, select the academic year, session, marking column, and class
from which to copy.
- In
each row in the Copy To grid, select a marking column and class to
which to copy information.
- Click
Next.

- To
include categories, mark Copy Categories. In Categories To
Include, mark All or Selected. If you mark Selected,
mark the checkbox for each category to copy.
- To
include assignments, mark Copy Assignments. In Assignments To
Include, mark All or Selected. If you mark Selected,
mark the checkbox for each category to copy.
- Before
copying, click Save to save the parameters.
- When
you are ready to copy, click Copy. When copying is complete, the
page refreshes. For each marking column and class you copied information
to, the number of categories copied, the number of assignments copied,
what categories did not copy, and what assignments did not copy appear.
