11th graders present Stonecatcher projects
After a semester’s worth of researching, writing, assembling displays and practicing, 11th graders in Dr. Lawrence’s AP English class presented their Stonecatchers projects.
The image of the Stone Catcher refers to someone who catches the stones thrown unjustly at others, and plays a role in in “Just Mercy,” a book that students read last semester. Students’ projects investigated an issue that creates challenges for people in our community and/or around the world.
Over a morning, the 11th graders discussed and explained their projects with students in Middle and Upper school, visiting parents and faculty members. And the faces of these students beamed with pride at their work and determination to do something about the issues they explored.
