4th grader beautifies San Antonio, one carton at a time
Here’s a wonderful example of how a young person can make a difference, even in the time of a pandemic.
Fourth-grader Caroline has created a project that provides flower seeds in recycled egg cartons to be given to people who request them.
“My mission is to make San Antonio more beautiful by spreading the flowers around the city since we’re all outside more due to the shelter in place order,” she said.
She calls it Cartons of Color and explains the project through a website she created, cartonsofcolor.com.
Her teacher, Mrs. Holden, said Caroline is combining a unit on plants, and the goal of Writing with Creativity with the Keystone commitment to Community Involvement.
