4th graders release baby trout into the wild

Fourth graders visited the Guadalupe River for the final activity of a major science project.

They had spent months of studying, feeding and raising trout from eggs to fingerlings in an aquarium in Mrs. Holden’s classroom.

At the river, the students released the baby fish into the wild. It’s part of a program called Trout in the Classroom, which aims to teach young people about the life cycle of fish and the importance of maintaining watersheds.
