4th graders release trout into Guadalupe River
After months of studying, feeding and raising trout from eggs to fingerlings in an aquarium in Mrs. Holden’s classroom, 4th graders had their chance to finish their project.
On this outing, where they visited the Guadalupe River, the students released the baby fish into the wild. It’s part of a program called Trout in the Classroom, which aims to teach young people about the life cycle of fish and the importance of maintaining watersheds.
