7th grade Leadership class making valentines for 104-year-old Marine veteran
This year, the Keystone spirit of Valentine’s Day is going out all the way to California, courtesy of the 7th grade Leadership class. They’re working to help make this the best Valentine’s ever for a 104-year-old Marine veteran who lives in the Central Valley city of Stockton.
The valentine drive began when members of the class found out about retired Marine major Bill White, who is asking for cards to include in a memory book he’s creating. Here’s a heartwarming story on it from KTXL in Sacramento, California, and another from Marine Corps Times.
The Keystone students are making individual cards and a group card for Maj. White.
