7th Graders learn nature skills, team building
Last week’s seventh-grade trip took students to the East Texas terrain, where they took plenty of long hikes, learned some nature skills and engaged in lots of team building activities.
They learned how to work together to help each other over a climbing wall, and took on ropes course elements that included climbing a rock wall, riding a zip line and an activity that involved climbing a telephone pole and jumping off of it — all while completely and safely tethered.
The next Keystone trip involves 6th graders, who are going to New Ulm for a couple of days with Nature’s Classroom Institute.
