8th grader raises money by making, selling artisan cards
Congratulations to 8th grader Aarav, for creating and selling cards that he sold to raise money for the Southwest School of Art and items for an assisted living facility.
Aarav made 220 cards out of plant fibers and then painted watercolor images on them, and sold all of them, making a total of $1,100.
He gave $600 to Southwest School of Art earlier this week. With rest of the money he’s ordering a glider chair, bird feeder, planters, magazine subscriptions and books for the residents of Etta Senior Living in Shavano Park, reports his mom, an artist who documented his project on her website.
