Counselors discuss children’s resilience, growth mindset
In a fascinating and enlightening talk at this month’s PTO meeting, Keystone’s counselors, Mrs. Raymer and Dr. Shapiro discussed resilience and the importance of students maintaining a growth mindset.
They discussed social and emotional learning abilities, offered suggestions on how to talk with children, older children and teens.
They also discussed the crucial importance of developing a growth mindset that holds intelligence can be developed, as opposed to a fixed mindset that says intelligence is static and can’t change.
