February 7 – Flu prevention

Dear Keystone Families,

As often happens at this time of year in schools, we are seeing our fair share of illness. Certain grade levels have experienced a greater number of absences than others, but almost every division in the school has been affected. In response, we are implementing the following procedures:

  1. For the second time this year, we will have a specifically trained outside company clean and disinfect our facilities. In addition, our cleaning crew will increase their already thorough disinfecting efforts.
  2. We will continue to remind students to wash their hands and sneeze/cough into their elbows rather than into their hands.

We are also asking for your help. Please keep your children home until they have been fever free for at least 24 hours. We understand that Keystone students do not want to miss school, and we laud their dedication; however, if they come to school sick, they will not recuperate and they will infect their schoolmates.

We hope students take this long weekend to catch up on sleep and practice self-care. Thank you for partnering in our efforts to help our students do well and be well.

With gratitude,

Billy
