Fourth graders experience journey Out of Eden
The fourth-graders spent a morning visiting with journalist and explorer Paul Salopek, as he described his Out of Eden Walk, from a stop in Northern India.
Mr. Salopek, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist is working with National Geographic on a 21,000-mile odyssey to trace the pathways of the first humans who migrated out of Africa and around the world. His project is a decade-long experiment in slow journalism, and is expected to last a decade.
The fourth-graders were captivated by the images and stories from the Skype session. For more about the visit, check out the blog post that Mr. Handmaker wrote this week.
Keep up with Mr. Salopek at outofedenwalk.com.
