French students celebrate La Chandeleur with crêpes
This is one way to make learning fun and memorable.
Madame Bolskakova reports that students of French 1 and French 3 had a lot of fun celebrating la Chandeleur earlier in the month.
“La Chandeleur, celebrated in France on the 2nd of February, is also known as the day of the Crêpe,” Madame B says. “On this day households all over France make crêpes that symbolize the return of spring, the sun, and prosperity.”
Students made the crêpes and shared pictures of their creations.
“While spring may not have returned to San Antonio quite yet, students enjoyed making delicious crêpes and sharing them with their families,” Madame B says. “Bon appétit!”
