Geography Bee champ Andy keeps his crown
Congratulations to eighth-grader Andy, a repeat champion of the Keystone Geography Bee.
He answered every question correctly in the Bee, taking the title on Darien National Park, which Andy located in Panama. Up to that point, Andy and runner-up Joaquin, a seventh-grader, aced all the questions.
“If their performances were an indication, we can conclude that the damage to geographical knowledge done by the advent of the GPS has not reached Keystone School,” said emcee Dr. Caraway.
Other contestants were fourth-graders Raymond and Cameron, fifth-graders Jack and Max, sixth-graders Jackson and Alexander, seventh-grader Charlie and eighth-grader Jeffrey.
