Keystone ranks among best STEM schools in nation

In a national ranking of the best STEM schools in the nation, Keystone ranked as the best school in San Antonio and among the finest in the country.

Keystone came in at No. 98 in the country.

No other San Antonio school — public, private or charter — cracked the top 100 of the country’s Top STEM Schools. The next highest San Antonio school came in at No. 370.

“Although we’re very pleased with this ranking, this is what happens when you combine outstanding students with excellent teachers in a supportive and inclusive community that is committed to academic excellence, ethical growth, community involvement and responsible leadership,” Mr. Handmaker said.

The magazine worked with STEM.org to rank the country’s top 500 STEM schools. The research organization uses a scoring system that aims to determine which schools best offer experiences in STEM subjects while preparing them for college and beyond.

“We found schools in every region of the country that offer skilled teachers who keep up with developments in these fields and who create dynamic learning environments to engage their students,” the magazine wrote.
