Keystone’s Girls on the Run chapter nearing final events
The inaugural Keystone chapter of Girls on the Run is nearing the end of its Spring program and has proved a significant experience for its participants.
Girls on the Run blends physical activity with skill development to build strengths, confidence and connections with others.
This session culminates with a community impact project and then the 5K run.
For the community project, the girls created their own service project and they’re selling fun school supplies to raise money for the Child Life program at University Hospital’s pediatric wing. This sale will happen on Thursday, April 28th, and Tuesday, May 3rd.
The May 1 run will include girls from throughout Bexar County, and their running buddies. Click here for more information about the 5K.
