Lower School students make insect sculptures

Last week, Lower School students embarked on a fun and educational project. They made sculptures of insects using either items in their yards, or with items they had in their homes.

The project was an activity from Ms. Golando for 1st through 4th grade students. She asked the students to first watch a video about an artist who created sculptures using leaves, branches and the like. The artist, who’s based in Montreal, Canada, has become famous on Instagram and beyond for his work.

Then the students had a chance to try their own hands at creating their own artworks.
