
Meet the Faculty: First Grade Teacher Chrystal Westwood
Education: AA in Radio-TV-Film-San Antonio College, BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Education-UTSA, M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction-Grand Canyon University
What did you do before you came to Keystone: I was a reading teacher at Carvajal Elementary in SAISD. Prior to that, I taught 3rd grade and worked with dyslexic students in Harlandale ISD. I also taught Kindergarten at The Acorn School.
Why do you like working here: Keystone is such a wonderful and unique place. I feel very fortunate to be part of this community. The families are wonderful, our students are curious and inquisitive, and I work alongside the most amazing faculty and staff!
Hobbies/pastimes: I enjoy music, movies, and spending time with family and friends!
Something (personal or professional) you’re proud of: Raising my two children to be kind and caring individuals and being a teacher for 20 years!
