Middle School social raises $1,500

Congratulations to Anna and Meghal, who led the efforts to create a Middle School social that raised about $1,500 for the American Heart Association.

The event included a showing of “Encanto” in the theater, games on the sports court, video games, a pizza sale and time to just hang out. More about this event is in this week’s blog from Mr. Handmaker, and below are a few photos from the evening.

Combined with funds that Anna and “The Incredible Howks” (named after Science Teacher Mr. Howk), the Keystone-related efforts raised more than $15,000.

According to the American Heart Association, the funds will help expand the association’s mobile market initiative in San Antonio, continue hands only CPR training throughout the community, educate the community on signs of heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest, among other activities. Combined with the $8,000 she raised last year, it’s a total of more than $23,000 for the heart association.

Terrific work!
