Middle schoolers learn how to propagate native plants

Middle School science students in Mrs. Sobieszczyk’s class spent time this week learning how to propagate native plants.

A representative from The Nectar Bar, a landscaping company that specializes in designing and installing native pollinator gardens, came to help the students. The plants that the students were working on will be used on campus, and to share.

Ms. Sobie notes that native plants are not only water savers, in that they don’t need extra watering once established, but they are also important habitat for native birds and insects.
