Middle schoolers shop for nonprofit

Middle School students went toy shopping for other this week for their annual service project.

They shopped at Target and donated their purchases to Inner City Development’s Annual Toy Sale. Inner City Development is a nonprofit, community-based organization that works with people who live in some neighborhoods on the city’s West Side.

The Toy Sale takes place at the nonprofit’s offices, and allows residents to purchase toys at a 90% discount. It’s a way to help families and preserve some dignity.

Parents of the middle school students donated money for the young people to use for shopping.
