New York Times to post 8th grader’s vocabulary video

Congratulations to 8th grader Charlie, who was selected as a finalist in a competition from the New York Times.

It’s called the 15-Second Vocabulary Video Challenge, a contest that invites middle and high school students to create a short video of 15 seconds or less that defines or teaches a vocabulary word.

He defined the word “tyranny.”

Charlie’s submission was chosen and his video will go online on the Times’ website sometime in February. Great job!
