PTO

Welcome!

PTO provides an opportunity for parents to play a vital role in the educational experience of their children.

Keystone’s Parent Teacher Organization, in partnership with our teachers and staff, provides an opportunity for parents to play a unique and vital role in the educational experience of our students.  All Keystone School parents and guardians are members of the PTO, and we encourage your participation in this impactful aspect of the KS community.

With your help, the PTO will achieve its mission to support Keystone School in accomplishing its own mission and to foster effective and open communication between the school and parents.  Additionally, the PTO works with the school to enhance the educational and recreational opportunities for students, parents, and staff, while seeking to promote and foster a strong sense of community and facilitate involvement throughout our community.

Volunteering to serve on the PTO Counsel or serving as a parent volunteer is an important way to impact your child’s education and experience, learn more about Keystone, and meet fellow parents.  Our cadre of parent volunteers is fundamental to Keystone.  Here are some opportunities to help your children through PTO:

Feb. 25, 2023: Lower School Basketball Game Concession Stand
March 4, 2023: Lower School Basketball Game Concession Stand

Here are some of the previous activities where PTO has volunteered:

October 13, 2022: Visit Keystone (K-4 open house)
November 4, 2022: Keystone Book Fair
November 8, 2022: Visit Keystone (K-4 open house)
November 18, 2022:  Grand Friends Day
December 10, 2022: Gingerbread Workshop

Contact your division rep or email pto@keystoneschool.org for more information about how you can help your children through PTO.

Lower School News

Welcome Lower School Parents!

We at Keystone feel that it is important to stay connected as a community and not only support our children during their early years of development, but also provide a certain level of appreciation for our faculty. In order to accomplish this sense of acknowledgment each grade level has a Parent Head who volunteers their time to organize teacher appreciation gestures which is organized on Sign Up Genius or some kind of platform where parents can choose what they wish to participate in (i.e., teacher lunch, gift basket of goodies, gift card…)

The Keystone community is spread all throughout the city, so we feel it is important to host out of school activities where the kids can spend more time together and parents can connect. Your Parent Head is responsible for organizing those events and communicating it out to you. Since each grade level only consists of a small number of parents, it makes it easy for us to stay connected using some kind of correspondence like: WHATSAPP, SLACK, GROUPME. When it comes to homework clarification, illness, questions, concerns, offering support or just looking for some feedback, this is a great outlet for parents to use. Above all else we pride ourselves in keeping our community safe and healthy, so all organized events take into consideration the current health climate before scheduling any activities.

For your convenience, below is a list of the parents volunteering to support middle school this year. Please feel free to contact any of us for additional information.

  • Lower School Representative: Veronica Vasquez
  • Kindergarten: Melissa McLeaird and Kristen Raaberg
