Senior creates project to celebrate diverse children’s books
These students are helping the Windows & Mirrors Project that senior Ava launched last year. She focused a class project on the effects of diverse literature, especially in children’s and young adult books.
For this endeavor, older students receive a passport in which they can record which children’s books they read.
As Ava describes it, these books “provide a window into someone else’s world and a mirror to see yourself in what you read.”

Great job, Ava!
