Senior excels in pentathlon competition
One of our seniors is a national champion in Modern Pentathlon.
At the US Modern Pentathlon National Championships over the summer, Ingrid won the gold medal in the Youth Division (under 19) and the bronze medal in the Junior Division (under 22).
Modern Pentathlon is an Olympic sport that comprises five different events: fencing, freestyle swimming, equestrian show jumping, and a final combined event of pistol shooting and cross country running.
Ingrid’s results in the National Championships qualified her to represent the United States in the Modern Pentathlon Youth World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.
At the world championships, she won the fencing event.
Ingrid trains with coach Monica Rowland, a pentathlete, executive director of Texas Pentathlon and a Keystone parent.
