Sustainability news: Awareness building quickly
In Keystone’s drive to create a more environmentally sustainable campus, Middle School students learned about composting efforts during a presentation at Town Hall this week.
One of the partners of Compost Queens, Betsy Gruy, discussed the concept of composting, its benefits and how Keystone is implementing it.
Already, Lower School students are learning to dispose of their food waste in the specially marked containers. Meanwhile, Middle School students are getting more information about recycling and sustainability initiatives through a new student-run weekly newsletter.
Expect more information and projects from the school’s Green Team, a group consisting of students, faculty, staff and administrators.
