Two Keystone students win Grand Prize honors at science competition
Two Keystone students won Grand Prize honors at the recent Alamo Junior Academy of Science annual meeting and science competition.
Ninth-grader Joanna won for her project, “The Investigation of Photobiomodulation as a Factor to Impact Physical Damage, Psychological Behavior, and Metabolic Activity Following a Traumatic Brain Injury in Drosophila Melanogaster.”
Seventh-grader Shaum won for his project, “Using Machine Learning and Neural Data from the Brain to Create an Artificial Intelligence Capable of Recognizing Thought Words”
In this competition, students in grades 6-12 from throughout the San Antonio area conduct research during the school year and present results at this event and are judged in their written and oral presentations.
